What is steampunk you may say? Well, it is rather tricky to put it into words. Steampunk is a term used to describe a fantasy Victorian science fiction world with a fusion of imaginative machinery. And currently, it is not as much about the literature, but bizarre mixes of antiques and cyberpunk technology. This style is recognized by numerous knobs, hinges and springs, screws, pipes, steam valves and clockworks, brass and copper, glass and polished wood, and surely airships. Just think of a future that has been carried into a re-imagined Victorian past – steampunk envisions what the past could have been if there was advanced technology back then and also pines for a time when the function of an object was manifest in its design.

Intellectual property entrepreneur Leo Stoller threatened to sue the owners of StealThisEmail.

Intercapping is often used to emphasize the meaning of a domain name. However, DNS names are case-insensitive, and some names may be misinterpreted in certain uses of capitalization, creating slurls. For example: Who Represents, a database of artists and agents, chose whorepresents.com, which can be misread as whore presents. Similarly, a therapists' network is named therapistfinder.com. In such situations, the proper meaning may be clarified by use of hyphens in the domain name. For instance, Experts Exchange, a programmers' discussion site, for a long time used expertsexchange.com, but ultimately changed the name to experts-exchange.com.

Intellectual property entrepreneur Leo Stoller threatened to sue the owners of StealThisEmail.com on the basis that, when read as stealthisemail.com, it infringed on claimed (but invalid) trademark rights to the word "stealth".[12]

After curating many shows for their artist friends, Vadakan and Myung realized that art was not being purchased because it was too expensive to afford.[6] Vadakan and Myung wanted to create an accessible and affordable piece of art for attendees to take home from shows, while also promoting the artwork of their friends.[7] This is when they started creating their limited-edition artist wallets.[7] The idea for this product was birthed out of the notion that carrying an artist wallet was like "having a traveling art show" with you at all times.[8] In Craft Magazine, Vadakan describes all of the wallets as being made by hand. The images are printed in four-color on high quality paper. They are laminated, then stitched together using an industrial sewing machine.[2] In 2006, Poketo launched an online store for customers in Japan.[9]

Since then, Poketo has expanded to design and produce accessories, apparel, homeware and decor.[10] Poketo products, particularly their wallets, have become collectible pieces for buyers because of their limited quantity and original art.[6] Poketo has been commissioned to create exclusive products for museums around the world like San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and De Young Museum. Poketo has also collaborated with art organizations like Parsons The New School for Design, the Creative Growth Art Center, Top Drawer Art Center and 826LA.[11] Various music bands and music organizations have also worked with Poketo to collaborate on promotional merchandise, including The Postal Service,[1] Weezer,[7] Arcade Fire,[1] The Shins,[7] Minus The Bear,[12] Matisyahu,[13] Coachella Music Festival[14] and many others.[13] Poketo has also been recognized in HOW magazine's website as one of the top website for designers in April 2009.[15]

In August 2010, Poketo released a 52-piece line of accessories for Target, designed with the artwork of 21 international artists, including: Betsy Walton, Camilla Engman, Catalina Estrada, Cole Gerst, Dan Funderburgh, DGPH, Joe Rogers, Kate Bingaman-Burt, Katharina Leuzinger, Leah Chun, Leif Parsons, Lisa Congdon, MAKI, Marco Cibola, Melissa Contreras, Mike Perry, Niels Oeltien, Oksana Badrak, Peskimo, Pietari Posti, and Silvia Portella.[16]
